건축주 부부와 손님을 위한 집이다. 서울에서 귀촌을 하여 산 속에 있는 주택으로 이용하기 위해 계획한 주택이다. 산속에 있는 특성상 도시에 짓는 주택과는 다른 컨셉을 가지고 건물의 설계를 접근했다. 건축주의 요구는 1층 건물로, 유지보수가 간편하고, 비 맞지 않는 실내주차장을 가질 것, 방범상 안전한 집을 만드는 것이었다.

 

이 주택에 대한 사항을 간단하게 나열해 보면 다음과 같다. 산속의 집은 방범이나 산짐승 등의 침입이 우려되기 때문에, 문이나 창문을 열고 지내기 힘들다. 그런 문제를 해결하기 위해, 건물의 중앙에 중정을 설계했다. 이로 인하여 중정 쪽으로 만든 창문이나 문을 언제나 열어 놓을 수 있다. 또한, 이곳을 통해 모든 공간에 환기도 되고, 채광이 가능하다. 모든 창문이나 문이 중정 쪽으로 둘러싸인 공간으로만 열린다면 안전성은 확보될지는 몰라도 답답해질 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 큰 창이 있는 남측 창은 문 형식이 아닌 창문 형식으로 계획했다. 내부의 각각의 공간에서 중정을 통해 건너편의 공간뿐 아니라 건너편의 공간을 통해 밖의 모습을 보는 것도 가능하도록 했다.도로 측에서의 프라이버시 보호를 위하여 도로 측에는 창문을 일절 만들지 않았고, 출입문 앞에는 가벽을 만들어, 이 가벽은 단순히 시선을 차단하는 목적뿐 아니라 조명장치, 캐노피 유리의 지지, 작은 벤치로 활용된다.

 

비를 맞지 않도록 디자인된 주차장은 상부에 천창을 만들어서 빛이 주차장의 안까지 들어오도록 계획했다. 주차장 공간이 건물과 일체화되어 건물의 디자인에 도움을 주고 있다.

 

거실 및 식당, 주방공간은 다목적으로 사용이 가능하도록 큰 공간 하나로 만들었다. 마감재는 자작나무 합판과 아이보리 색의 친환경 도장, 철판으로 디자인했다. 가구도 실내 마감 재료를 그대로 사용하여 제작됐다. 산속이나 도심과 떨어진 주택의 가장 큰 문제는 유지관리다. 도시가스가 없는 지역이므로 기름보일러나 가스보일러를 사용해야 하지만, 위험할 수 있기 때문에 새로운 방식의 냉난방을 설치하여 유지관리비를 최소로 하도록 고려됐다. 중앙집중식 공기정화환기 열교환시스템을 설치했고, 외국에서도 집의 상황을 볼 수 있고, 방문자와 화상 인터폰을 할 수 있도록 했다.

The project is to design a residential building in a mountain village for the client couple to live in the country behind their urban life. Due to its location in the mountains, we approached the design of the building with a concept different from that of an urban house. The client's request was to build a one-story building with easy maintenance, indoor parking without exposure to rain, and safe security solutions

 

Here is a brief overview of this house.

It is difficult to open a door or a window because a mountain house has risks of crimes or wild animals. In order to solve such a problem, we designed the courtyard at the center of the building. So, windows and doors facing the courtyard can always be opened. In addition, it is possible to ventilate and light in all spaces through this place. If all the windows and doors are opened only in the space surrounded by the courtyard, safety may be secured but it can be stuffy. To solve this problem, we put the large fixed window on the south side so that either courtyard or the outside scenery can be visually connected through the inside of house. In order to protect the privacy from the road, we did not make any windows on the roadside, and made a wall in front of the entrance door. The wall can be used not only for the purpose of blocking the sight, but also as a lighting device, a support for the canopy glass, and a small bench.

 

The enclosed parking lot was designed to have a skylight on the upper part so that the light would come into the parking lot. The parking space is integrated as a part with the overall building design.

 

Living room, dining room, and kitchen space were made into one large space for multipurpose use. The finish was designed with birch plywood, ivory eco-friendly paint, and iron plate. The furniture was made using the interior finishing materials. The biggest problem in mountain houses and remote houses away from a city is maintenance. Since it is an area without city gas connected, it should use an oil boiler or gas boiler which may be dangerous. So, we proposed to install a new type of heating and cooling system to minimize the maintenance. Centralized air purification ventilation heat exchange system was installed. Even when the clients travel abroad, they can check the overall situation of the house and also can talk with visitors through video interphone system.
