춘양 봄볕 지역아동센터는 경상북도 봉화군 춘양면의 한적한 마을에 자리를 잡았다. 인근에 춘양 보건지소와 면사무소가 있는 공간적 위치를 살려, 지역아동센터뿐만 아니라 마을과 소통할 수 있는 역할을 수행하는 공간을 만들고자 했다.
지역아동센터를 이용할 봉화마을 아이들이 필요로 하는 공간은 스펙트럼이 넓고 다채롭다. 아이들이 원하는 것들을 각각의 프로그램들로 분류한 뒤 그에 해당하는 커다란 공간을 만들고자 했다. 운동장과 드넓은 외부 마당, 높고 널찍한 실내 다목적실이 이렇게 해서 탄생했다. 마당에서는 운동뿐 아니라 텐트를 치고 캠프를 할 수도, 보건지소와 공간을 공유해 공연을 할 수도 있다.
높게 솟은 널찍한 다목적실은 누워서 TV나 영화를 보는 휴식공간도 되고, 뛰어노는 놀이공간도 된다. 주방과 가깝기 때문에 상을 펴고 밥을 먹을 수도 있고, 간식을 만드는 요리교실을 진행할 수도 있다. 독립된 공간인 지도실이나 다락에 올라가면 조용하게 책을 보거나 공부를 할 수 있다. 넓고 높은 공간에서 다양한 활동을 하며 아이들의 경험과 생각이 풍부해진다.

Chunyang Bombeot Community Children's Center is located in a secluded village in Chunyang-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, Gyeongbuk-do, Korea. By utilizing the spatial location of the Chunyang Public Health Center and Myeon Office in the vicinity, we aimed to create the community children's center. This space can play a role in communicating with the village.
The space for the children of Bonghwa Village, which will use the community children's center, has a broad and colorful spectrum. After classifying the children's wishes into individual programs, we tried to make large spaces corresponding to them, including the playground, the spacious outdoor yard, and the lofty and spacious indoor multipurpose room. In the yard, it is possible to camp, set up tents, and share the space with the Branch Office of the Community Health Center to perform and exercise.
A spacious multi-purpose room that rises high can be a resting place to lie watching TV or movies, and play space. Since it is close to the kitchen, it can be a place to set a table to eat or have a cooking class, including snacks. The children can quietly read books or study when they go up to a guidance room or an attic, an independent space. They can have more full experiences and thoughts by doing various activities in a large and tall space.

연세대학교 공학석사를 졸업하였고, (주)엄&이종합건축사사무소에서 수년간 근무하며 다양한 프로젝트를 수행한 후 ATOP(에이탑건축사사무소)를 설립했다. 친환경 건축 설계전문가과정 국토해양부장관상(2012), 대한건축사협회 공로상(2018)을 수상했다. 현재 ATOP의 대표이며, 서울시 마을건축가로 활동하고 있다. 자연과 교감하는 공간, 한계에서 다양성을 찾는 건축, 일상 속에서 새로움을 발견하며 공간·평범함에서 감동을 전달하는 건축을 만들고자 노력하고 있다. 협소 주택부터 상가주택, 도서관, 문화 및 집회시설 등 다양한 프로젝트를 설계했다. 대표작품으로는 크라운해태 연구소, 봉천동 삼각형 협소주택, 월곡꿈그림 도서관, 강남 힐링센터 등이 있다. 최근에는 우일 사옥, mojise 사옥, 제주 서귀포 고급타운하우스 등을 설계하고 있다.
