대지는 화성시 향남2지구 택지개발지구의 공원에 위치하고 있으며, 어린이집을 건축하기에 비교적 여유로운 큰 땅이었다. 바로 근처에 아름다운 자연과 옥외놀이터가 있기 때문에 내부는 온전히 교사와 아이들의 생활공간으로 인식했다. 1층의 공용홀은 어린이집의 중심이며 모두의 공간이다. 2층과 시각적·공간적으로 연결되고, 동선의 중앙에 있어서 서로 만나고 소통을 유발하며, 동시에 강당으로 확장된다. 2층의 조망데크는 공원으로 열린 놀이공간이며, 놀이터로 연결되는 계단이 있어, 어린이집과 외부공간의 매개공간이 된다. 
어린이집의 내부를 구성하는데 있어 건축적으로 집중한 것은 공간의 켜를 만드는 것이었다. 시창을 통해 보육실에서 옆 보육실 내부와 상상의 집, 포인트색 벽이 보이고, 때로는 중간의 빛 박스가, 때로는 공원의 자연이 보이게 된다.
건축물의 외관은 두 개의 재료가 엮여있는 개념으로 계획했다. 정방형의 건물에 평면적인 사선을 도입했으며, 입면적인 사선을 적용하여 옥탑의 지붕선과 옥상의 유리창 등을 계획했다. 이런 사선의 요소는 단조로운 정방형의 형태를 다채롭게 만들었다.

The site is in a park in the residential land development district of Hyangnam 2 District in Hwaseong-si, and it was a relatively big place to build a nursery. Because there is beautiful nature and an outdoor playground nearby, the interior was a living space for teachers and children. The common hall on the first floor is the center of the nursery and is a space for everyone. It is visually and spatially connected to the second floor. It meets and communicates with each other since it sits in the center of the movement flow, and simultaneously expands to the auditorium. The view deck on the second floor is a playing area open to the park, and there is a stairway leading to the playground, which serves as an intermediary space for the nursery and outdoor space.
The architectural focus in constructing the interior of the nursery was to create a layer of space. Through the window, you can see the interior of the next child care room, an imaginary house, and point-colored walls from a child care room, and sometimes the lightbox in the middle of the nature of the park.
The building exterior was planned with the concept of two materials intertwined. We applied a planar diagonal line to a square building and designed a rooftop roofline and glass window by using an elevational diagonal line. The element of this diagonal line made the monotonous square form colorful.
