마산합포구 월영동 주민센터는 동측으로 열린 공원과 도시화가 진행된 고층아파트에 둘러싸여 있는 대지에 위치한다. 동측에 위치한 공원은 고층 아파트의 중심에 위치하여 삭막하고 딱딱한 도시에 녹지와 활력을 제공했고, 주거지역의 중심적인 커뮤니티 공간으로 자리매김한다. 이 공원과의 연계를 적극적으로 고려하며, 마산합포구 월영동 주민센터를 지역주민과 소통하는 장소로 만들어내려 했다. 대지를 공공에게 개방하고 주민자치센터를 들어올려, 다양한 요구와 주변 환경을 수용할 수 있는 비워진 공간을 제공했으며, 주변의 아파트 단지에서 공원으로의 적 극적인 동선을 유도했다.

 

이것이 ‘URBAN CARPET’이다.

 

지상 2층의 외부 공간은 광장의 중심적인 역할을 하고 공원과 연계된 외부계단은 다양한 이벤 트를 수용하는 다목적계단으로 계획했다. 상부 건물의 중정형 배치는 사방으로 열려 혼잡할 수 있는 광장에 중심성을 제공하여 질서를 부여하는 건축적 장치이며, 지상 3층의 주민자치센터공 간을 순환할 수 있게 하여 주민들의 적극적인 만남을 유도했다.

Woryeong-dong Community Service Center, Masanhappo-gu is located on land surrounded by a park on the east side and high-rise apartments with urbanization. Located on the east side, the park is situated in the center of high-rise apartments, providing greenery and vitality to the desolate and hard city, and it becomes the central community space of a residential area. For Woryeong-dong Community Service Center, Masanhappo-gu, I actively considered the connection with this park and made it a place to communicate with local residents. I opened the land to the public, lifted the community center to provide a vacant space to accommodate various needs and the surrounding environment, and led the active movement flow from the surrounding apartment complex to the park

 

This is 'URBAN CARPET'.

 

The outdoor space on the second floor plays a central role in the square, and the outdoor stairway connected with the park is planned as a multipurpose stairway that accommodates various events. The courtyard layout of the upper building is an architectural device that gives centrality and subsequent order to the square, which is so open to the four directions that it can be crowded, and it enables the residents to actively meet people by making it possible to circulate the space of the community center on the third floor.
