산딸나무 과수원에 서서 주변에 펼쳐진 산과 들을 보고 바람을 느낀다...

어느새 나는 일을 잊고 경치를 즐기고 있었다.

과수원의 일부분에 주택 신축을 계획 중이던 의뢰인과의 첫 미팅을 마치고 예정 부지를 걸으며 혼자 되뇌었다.

“작은 집을 짓자...”

작은 공간으로 나누면 나눌수록 기대치 못했던 큰 공간을 찾을 수 있다.

이 공간들을 통해 길지만 바람이 움직여 가는 뜻밖의 특별한 동선이 만들어진다. 나는 그것을 바람길 이라고 부르고 싶다. 이 바람길의 매력은 그 동선을 따라갈 때 공간 사이로 다양한 풍경들이 우리를 기다리고 있다는 점이다.

저마다 다른 위치, 높이, 그리고 방향으로 작은 집 3개 동을 과수원의 경사면에 배치시켜 본다.

각 동의 공간과 규모는 작지만 그 작은 집들이 서로 어우러져 만들어내는 공간은 상상하지 못했던 특이하고 넓은 공간을 만들어 낸다.

 

결국 작은 집이 모여서 큰 집을 만든다.

Standing in a cornelian cherry orchard, I feel the winds when I see mountains and fields spreading around.

Suddenly I was enjoying the scenery, forgetting my work. After completing the first meeting with a client who was planning to build a new house in a part of the orchard, I walked on the planned site and replayed alone.

"Let's build a small house..."

 

As we divide spaces smaller, larger spaces were found that we did not expect. Through these spaces, a new pathway for wind is created which is long but special. I want to call it a wind path. A merit of this wind path is that various landscapes await us as we follow the movement. I place three small houses in different positions, heights and directions on the slopes of the orchard. Although the space and size of each movement is small, the spaces created by these small houses are spacious that we could never have imagined..

After all, a big house is made by gathering small houses.
